Press release

Posing as an adult’s activity book ‘Trickle’ (2021) invites us to take the role of a successful entrepreneur……. deliberately confusing the act of spending with the act of storytelling.
Having grown up in Hastings and recently returned, Yusuf is interested in the passing on of stories, memories and histories. Playfully working in 3D animation, generating images, locations and events in order to see and understand them. His works have previously re-imagined scenarios around social issues such as austerity, housing and commuting.
Previous exhibitions and screenings include: ‘MAD as MAP’ News of the World, Deptford (2019); ‘These Fossils Are Our Fuel’ Flatland Projects, Hastings (2019); ‘Artists’ Film Club: The Dog isn’t Afraid of Fireworks + Laindon’, Institute of Contemporary Arts (2018).
